My passion for art and the
creative process began as a young child when I first encountered
finger paints. The feel of the paint immediately
became part of my being.
For more than forty years I have sketched, painted in
oils and watercolors. However, with life's everyday prerequisites,
art could only be play and never my career.
Now, in my fifties, I am fortunate to have a life that
has afforded me the privilege to paint without life's
ordinary pressures.
I have spent many glorious hours visiting libraries and
museums, studying, enjoying and absorbing creations of
the great masters.
I paint with an undying passion, from the thought process
to the layout, design, tonal studies, mixing and blending
of the paint; in the end to visually capture the essence
of the moment of being there.

Primarily, I
now paint in acrylics. This medium combines the best of
all worlds, i.e., oil and water.
This medium of acrylic and water seems
to be the most environmentally friendly and healthy.
I want my art to celebrate the environment.
With each painting, something new emerges to cultivate
the perpetual learning process.
I have studied with Daniel Green, Jane Paul Angelhart,
and others.
My wonderful husband understands and supports my art.
He has encouraged me to enter competitions and share my
art. We have four wonderful children, two dogs and one
mean cat!
